Free Poomsae Training with Master Cindy Gould — October 27

Croatia Poomsae Open trophy presentation and USA taekwondo memorabilia

Fresh from her gold-medal performance at the Croatia Poomsae Open, Master Cindy Gould is bringing that experience back to the KTA mat. On Tuesday, October 27, advanced students are invited to a free special poomsae training session focused on stronger forms, purposeful practice, and feedback you can put to work.

Class at a glance

  • When: Tuesday, October 27, 2026, 6–7:30 p.m.
  • Where: KTA’s main dojang
  • Who: Blue belts and higher
  • Cost: Free

Important schedule change: This special session replaces the regular evening classes on October 27.

From Croatia to the KTA mat

Master Gould will share a recap of her Croatia experience, then lead students through a hands-on session that builds on their regular class training. Students will practice their rank’s poomsae, experience head-to-head performances and scoring, and receive guidance from high-dan instructors.

What to expect

  • A recap of Master Gould’s Croatia Poomsae Open experience
  • Active warmups used by the AAU National Poomsae Team
  • Group practice of rank poomsae
  • Head-to-head performances and scoring
  • High-dan feedback and practical tips to improve your performance

You do not have to be preparing for a tournament to benefit. This is an opportunity to give your forms focused attention, learn from experienced instructors, and take useful feedback into your next training session—inside or outside the competition ring.

A next step toward tournament season

Our next tournament is the 40th Annual Master Crays’ Indiana Taekwondo Academy Invitational on November 14 in Noblesville, an event KTA has supported for years.

KTA has a long history of sparring and poomsae competitors. If you have been thinking about joining the tournament team, this session is a good place to begin building toward that next step.

Blue belts and higher: make plans to train with us Tuesday—even if it is not your usual class day. Come ready to practice, learn, and make the most of your time on the mat.
