An option, not a requirement.

Competition is one part of Taekwondo. Tournament participation is not required for advancement at KTA. Interested students can discuss the appropriate next step with their instructors.

Three ways to compete.

KTA’s sport training includes sparring, forms, and board breaking.

  • Sparring: applying skills in a competitive match
  • Forms: performing a structured sequence of techniques
  • Board breaking: demonstrating technique and precision

Find the right level.

Talk with KTA about current training opportunities and events. Participation should match the student’s readiness and interest.
